Greg holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and specializes in intellectual property portfolio building, evaluation, and management.  Greg’s practice focuses on the development of intellectual property protection strategies that are customized to each company and its products and services and enjoys working as a close-knit team with in-house personnel and inventors.

 

Greg specializes in various fields including composite materials, aerospace, fluid handling, computer devices and systems, gaming devices and systems, and medical devices.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Greg worked as a television engineer where he worked with automation, digital asset management, and signal processing.

  

Greg is recognized as an IP Star by Managing Intellectual Property Magazine, as a Legal Elite IP Attorney by the Utah Business Magazine, and as a Super Lawyer. Greg is also active in the Utah chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Material & Process Engineering (SAMPE).

 

In law school, Greg was a William H. Leary Scholar and received the CALI Award for the highest grade in patent law. Greg was also an editor of the Utah Law Review and was a clerk for the Honorable Dee V. Benson of the U.S. District Court of Utah.
